1. Controller

The controller is: BTC Goods & Services GmbH Surseestrasse 55 6206 Neuenkirch Switzerland UID CHE-162.377.833 Email: info@decentralheat.ch DecentralHeat is the brand under which the company offers the server heating systems.

2. Data we process

We process only data needed to run the website and handle your enquiry: - Contact details you send us (name, email, optionally phone and company) - Building and project details you enter in the form (for example building type, floor area, heating, electricity, location) - Technical data about your visit (IP address, time, page requested, browser), where our host stores them in server logs - Settings stored locally in your browser (language, appearance, Quickcheck drafts) You are not required to send us data. Without contact details we cannot answer an enquiry.

3. Enquiries via the forms

You can describe your project through Request a conversation or the Quickcheck. Your details are emailed to our team so we can get back to you and assess suitability. Messages are sent via Proton AG (Switzerland). We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to handle the request, any resulting projects and legal duties, then delete them.

4. Operation of the website

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). A visit creates the usual technical logs (for example IP address, time, file requested). They are used for operation, security and troubleshooting, not for marketing. We currently do not use analytics, advertising or social media pixels and do not build a usage profile. Cal.com is integrated for appointment booking. Loading the booking widget establishes a connection to Cal.com; technical visit data such as your IP address and browser information may be transferred. When you book an appointment, Cal.com and our team process the contact and appointment details you provide. You can also contact us by email or through the enquiry form.

5. Cookies and local storage

We store your chosen language, light/dark mode and Quickcheck draft in your browser (localStorage) until submission. This storage makes the website easier to use. There are no tracking cookies. You can delete locally stored data in your browser settings.

6. Recipients

Only people on our team who handle enquiries have access. Further recipients are processors involved in running the site or delivering email: - Vercel Inc., USA (hosting) - Proton AG, Switzerland (email delivery of form submissions) - Cal.com (appointment booking and booking widget) We do not sell personal data.

7. Disclosure abroad

Proton processes email in Switzerland. Vercel may process data in the USA and other countries. The transfer uses the provider's contractual clauses and data-processing terms. The website cannot run without hosting.

8. Your rights

Under the Swiss Data Protection Act you may request information about the data stored about you, as well as correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, to the extent the law provides. Write to info@decentralheat.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. No automated decisions

We do not take automated individual decisions with legal effect. The forms prepare a conversation.

If the website or the processing changes (for example a statistics tool), we update this notice. The version published on this page applies.
